Disclaimer
Some oils are refined after their pressing. Behind the concept of refinement, there lies a whole series of chemo-technical procedures. All these procedures serve one purpose in particular: optimising trade. Moringa oil endures what is euphemistically labelled ‘improvement’ by the food industry, causing critical losses to the product in the name of streamlined industrial processing. The result of these procedures is a bright and taste/odour neutral oil and while the oil yield is much higher, priceless ingredients are lost.
We do not refine our oils. As a result, one will always find sediment (solid components, turbidities and suspended sediments) at the bottom of the oil vessels. These residues bear witness to the naturalness of our oils. Although a share of pressing residues above average may affect the oil’s characteristics, sediments do not in any way affect the oil’s quality. By shaking the vessel, the deposit will dissolve immediately, though we do recommend leaving it at the bottom. Since we mechanically decant and fine-filter our oils, we can keep these pressing residues within tenable limits.
